The Matawan Police Department strives to provide a safe community to residents and visitors to the Borough of Matawan.  In addition to our enforcement role, the agency is very active within the community by conducting or assisting with many community policing initiatives and events in the Borough throughout the year.  Some of the events the Police Department in conjunction with Policemen’s Benevolent Association Local #179 and the Borough Recreation Commission are:
